Software Engineer Intern

Contribute to production code on Azentrix's software products and internal systems, with code review on every change.

  • Compensation: Unpaid internship
  • Location: Remote — India
  • Department: Engineering

About the role

Azentrix builds and owns two software platforms for care providers, Facility Pilot and VisitChain, and also builds custom software for organizations.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll work on real features in our codebases — writing code, tests, and documentation, with an experienced engineer reviewing your work.

What you'll do

  • Implement features and fix bugs across frontend and backend code
  • Write automated tests for the code you contribute
  • Take part in code review — both receiving and giving feedback
  • Document what you build so others can maintain it
  • Investigate issues and explain what you found clearly

What we're looking for

  • Currently studying, or recently completed studies in, computer science or a related field — or equivalent self-taught experience
  • Comfortable writing code in at least one programming language
  • Familiarity with Git and basic web concepts (HTTP, APIs, databases)
  • Clear written communication in English

Nice to have

  • Personal or open-source projects you can share
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Interest in healthcare or operations software

What you'll gain

  • Experience shipping code to real products
  • Code review from experienced engineers on every change
  • Exposure to how software is planned, built, tested, and deployed

Details such as start date, duration, and weekly schedule are discussed with shortlisted candidates.
